Hi,
We are about to rent a property and need to sign the contract before completion of our house sale. Is there an insurance for tenants that will pay out the rent if our house sale falls through?

Have you exchanged contracts on your house sale? If so, then if the buyer fails to complete then s/he would be liable for the costs that arise from the failure, including any rent that you are obliged to pay.
If you have not yet exchanged, I suggest that you delay signing the contract to rent (if the landlord is unhappy and you lose this property, there is sure to be another one when you need it).0
