  • Yeah definitely on holiday for pleasure not business! (Unfortunately I don't think the nhs would pay for me to go to Morocco lol).

Bit frustrated that the hotel food has been pretty pants. My friend who I've come on holiday with is a bit weird about people approaching us when shopping etc so that's been a bit of a struggle. She needs to buy presents but refuses to go in any shops although we walked for ages to go to certain shops this morning! She now realises we leave tomorrow and she hasn't bought anyone any gifts!

I'll be glad to be at home with my creature comforts! I feel really bleugh due to the rubbish I've been eating this week so surprisingly looking forward to getting back on plan!!xx

    Good morning everyone,

I haven't had the opportunity to touch base and read all, so I hope that you're all doing well in your endeavours. I have STS this week I am still 0.5 under my target, although it is a fine line to keep to this. In short I've hardly changed my routine at all since reaching target. Not sure what I was expecting, but beginning to realise that for me target is just a number, and if I want to stick close to this then you just have to carry with the plan. I would say that keeping to plan when at target is actually harder (at least for me). It's mostly in my jumbled mind I'm sure! http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/laughing-smiley-014.gif
Lois, well done for such a fantastic weight loss! Will you still go to club when you go back to Spain?

Thanks Shala for all your work, even though I'm not on the challenge I do appreciate ithttp://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/biggrin.gif

Feel like it's now soup weather....hmmm I'm thinking something with butternut squash..

    Have a good week everyone.

    Arkers x
  • Well done on SOTW Emmylou & Flutterbyuk!! :T:T

I'm sticking to plan like glue and filling in my SAS sheets each day - had a danger day yesterday with a party tea for a family member but just ate one cupcake (which I know was 4 syns as I made them myself!) and gritted my teeth while watching others enjoy the rest! :A

    Today's menu:

Breakfast: banana, tea with milk (hea) and sugar (1 syn)
Lunch: SW quiche with salad (1 syn for dressing)
    Dinner: SW Spag Bol
Snacks: carrot & cucumber sticks, grapes, maybe a Hi-F bar (3 syns) Leaving some syns 'in the bag' in case I need something later.

Bought some Quark for the first time ever so I'll try that in the quiche - hope it's edible!

:T well done to our Slimmers of the Week. Although I'm at target and don't do the challenge I, too, would like to thank shala for all her hard work holding us together. You're a star!!

I think Morocco is the wrong place if you don't want to be approached out shopping rj. We go to Turkey regularly and that's just part of the culture, your friend should have realised that. Get started on that meal plan, shopping list and put down lots of Speed!:D

arkers, it is a balancing act being at target. The best way I've found is to get yourself as close to the lower end as possible and then gains of a couple of pounds for going off plan don't hurt so much. I know I've relaxed a bit since getting to target (e.g. don't measure milk or cereal any more just go by eye) and now I just weigh about once a month so plenty of time to rein any gains back in but, like you, I follow the plan as my default menu all the time. I think we all approach it differently and you have to find a way that works for your lifestyle. The official SW way is just to have a few extra HEXs but I'd rather have extra syns:D.

We're having an early main meal again today as DH has to go out again. I think I might make up a frittata so I can snack later if I'm hungry. Tonight we're going to a local theatre so I'll probably have a few wine syns with friends before the show.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L/D: BGTY sausages (2), mash, onions, cauli, carrots, runner beans
    Snacks: frittata (ham and veg)
Syns: squirt of syrup, gravy, midweek wine:o.
  • Morning all (just) back from our weekend in Leeds...we had a lovely time at the wedding and meeting up with our son again...time was fleeting...sorry to see him go again but we spoiled him rotten :)

The wedding was so lovely (it was Lizzie Armistead the cyclist...the photos will be in OK magazine (very glam) and have already been in the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail!...hope you don't see me lol.) NSV I felt really nice in my dress...I know I've only lost 1.5 stone but it's made a big difference to my confidence...I hid my gammy arm in a nice shawl.

Back on track - I need to lose 1/2 this week to get my 1.5 stone shiney and to get me into the 13s - so on it like a car bonnet this week...lots of water, speed and BM *game face*
  • Meals for today:

B - omelette muffins and tinned spagetti
L - leftover veggie Sunday dinner, 2 syns for quorn sausages, 2 syns for gravy, 1 syn for mint sauce.
D - hm butternut squash risotto with salad or veg on side.
Snacks - pear, milky way desert 5syns, pasta with lf mayo 2 syns.

12syns but no hex's there, will have milk as one and snack on some cheese and toast I think later.

  • :j Woohoo to all the losers, some great numbers :j

And keep on keeping on to all us others :D

Rather disappointing -1 lb for me today

Still not back to where I was before our last cruise

Just hope I can lose enough to get my knee operation and start moving. No Body Magic for me!

Sorry I'm late Shala I could seem to post yesterday, kept getting an error message, and was away over the weekend. I lost 2lbs last week if you wouldn't mind adding me on when you get chance.

Well done Emmylou & Flutterbyuk! :T

Someone at our group gave me a good tip.

She wanted to lose several stones in weight so she put that number of glass beads into a jar. A bead for each pound. As she loses the pounds she puts them in another glass jar. It's a very visible reminder of how well she's done.

I've done this but I made some little wool pom poms instead of using glass beads - added bonus that it kept my hands busy for while as well and stopped me nibbling! :rotfl:
