Holiday pay issue

You may find all rates are calculated by the hour, so if you did 40h in 2 days, it's paid as 40h that week specifically because that's the contracted weekly hours. It did not go over time, so no overtime premium.0

Never has before in all the years ive worked there plus we only get same PH OT as normal PH no enhanced rate used to but not anymore same as our FS pension.............ripped from straight under our feet.0

If you take 2 days off and don't get paid for them can't you ask to take these days off later in the year as they effectively haven't been used ?0
-
Could but i could do with the money plus whats to say they aint gonna doi it again..................by mistake of course!0

It sounds like whoever puts your hours worked into the pay office isn't adding your holiday so it is them who needs retraining. Maybe a supervisor or admin. Find out whose responsibility it is and politely reeducate them!0

Its the manager .................even sat with the holiday planner on the wall next to him so he can see whose off when etc, sad to say its one of those places/companies that promise the earth and give nothing and chance o promotion etc is non existant ive been doin same job 29 years , The joys of the motor trade0

It sounds like you need to take a week off at a time thereby being unable to do overtime.
In your current situation I'd also check company policy on unused holidays. Do you lose them?

You can't take holiday and work them, that would be the same as the company buying you holidays off you which is illegal.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
-
You could if you get more than the statutory amount of holiday. But somehow I doubt that applies, since they don't sound like that sort of employer.0
