My little, cheap Kindle has been giving trouble: jumping about 4 pages ahead or freezing.
On Thursday night it froze three times. Although I managed, with difficulty, to reboot it it went back to the beginning of the book. A pain!
On Friday morning I contacted Amazon, had a instant call and told the adviser about the problem. He pointed out that the Kindle is well out of warranty. My response was that, as a loyal customer, I was hoping for a discount on a new one.
20% off! Delivered yesterday. Thank you, Amazon.

Indeed. I am well aware of their tax 'situation'. So should I not have asked and borne the cost myself?
Maybe I should have kept this to myself rather than posting it, so that others may benefit from asking, too. :cool:Member #14 of SKI-ers club

My dads failed that I bought him again 3 years outside of warranty but because my account is marked as high spend I got a replacement unit free of charge.
Didn't even ask. Suppose Amazon mark certain accounts differently.0 -
My kindle was bought in April 2012, in Walmart in Florida for $79 with a $30 free gift card.
The little ones were being sold off when the first paperwhite was introduced.
It's given me hours of pleasure.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
