Laptop keeps logging me off

Hi, problem only started a couple of days ago.

Lenovo G570, Windows 7.

I usually leave my laptop on all the time I'm home, but I'm now continually having to re-enter my password, as it keeps logging me off if I don't press any keys for even five/ten minutes.

I've looked through the settings but can't find where/what to do to stop this happening, so would appreciate some help please.

TIA

I can't remember exactly what the settings look like in Win7 but it's probably the equivalent of Power Options | Edit plan settings in Win10, which sets the display and computer sleep times. You could also disable Require a password on wakep.

Is it logging off, or is the screensaver kicking in?

It's taking me back to the input password screen if I don't use the laptop for 5/10 mins.

Does it say anything just under your name, between it and the password field?

Is the laptop plugged into the mains or just running on battery?

Thank you - I've changed those settings now and we'll see what happens. What I can't understand is why my laptop suddenly started doing this, because I have certainly never altered anything myself.

I'll see if the changes I've made in the settings according to the video link given by karatepet work, but if anything else mysterious occurs I'll be back.
(The answers to your questions are nothing, and plugged in.)

    Thanks everyone.

OK - if it was the screensaver (or sleeping?) it would say "Locked" there.
