Ripping VHS to PC

Afternoon all. We're having a house clear-out and I'd like to rip some precious VHS content onto my PC. I've read a few articles about it and most recommend something like the Hauppage USB Live-2 connector. Obviously quality isn't an issue so we're keen to do it as inexpensively as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations on equipment to make it as cheap and painless as possible?

I got mine from Aldi last year. Well under £20 as I recall.
Decent enough bit of kit and the software was fine to understand.
Just start the program, start the video and wait while it plays the whole way through.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -
