Its called a packaged sewage treatment plant. They are actually quite common. We used to have one for 24 houses that I had to manage so think yourself lucky!
If it was anything like mine I would imagine the electricity is actually one if the cheapest costs. Our costs for emptying the solids, refilling with water and servicing was more expensive.
In the end we were lucky as the local water company ripped it out when they put mains sewers into the village and put us all on the mains in one go. I would never buy a house with a packaged plant again.0 -
I should have said you need to look into setting up a Ltd company to hold the license with the Environment Agency. You really don't want to be given the fine if it breaks down and starts polluting a local watercourse.0
