Spam in mobile hotmail

Does anyone know how I mark a dodgy email as a phishing scam and then delete it without having to open it? This is only an issue in the mobile version of hotmail.

My email is a hotmail address as its that old but now of course it's called outlook where it's located. If I am on a mobile device it automatically takes me to the mobile version which is a bit different to the version you get on a regular computer. You can't just tick the box near the email and then select phishing scam from a drop down menu like you can on a PC.
I don't want to have to open dodgy emails because as you will know that can be enough for it to do its damage.

Let me ask in a different way, which mobile device? which OS is it, is there a specific client on it?

It makes no difference. It happens on an iOS device and an android device. It is an issue with the design of the mobile version which I think is really bad. Theres no option to tick boxes to select specific emails and theres no drop down where you can select phishing scam. That is why I am asking how do I select a dodgy mail so I can delete it without opening it and once I know how to select it how do I also mark it as a phishing scam before I delete it.
  • Use the web then, ie using safari firefox opera

Can't you just swipe the dodgy email to the left to delete it?

I know exactly what you mean. Mobile outlook is dire. Nothing useful like tick boxes lol!

There is no way other than opening one of the emails, then tap, hold & swipe left or right to bring up the tràsh, flag, move etc icons. I would open the top one, leave it open, then tap/swipe the ones below.

You can delete them unread (save for one) but unsure that you can mark them as a phishing scam in mobile.

Other options would be trying the outlook app (I assume there is one) or configuring your phones email client to receive messages.

Neither was suitable for me so
I ditched hotmail all together, the rubbish mobile outlook being one of the reasons

You can click edit, select delete all or select only those you wish to delete without opening.
