Replacement d/g door

I am after replacing front door and side glass panel for a contemporary composite door and stippody glass side panel all sits in a 53x79 frame. I was told you have various quality frames from commercial down to budget middle range came out approx. £1700.......is that about right! This quote was from a large northern d/g company.

I have just been stung by a "Mr Wonderful" as recommended by neighbours who was to supply and fit replacement wooden drive gates to existing metal posts- turned aggressive when I said was not happy that he had cut 3" off the gates to be able to hang on the existing brackets,- said I was to fussy!!!! He quite frightened me so I am very cautious now.

I have just paid a deposit for our composite door, 2 panel, 2 square with crystal diamond design. The price was £1530 with glass side panel on both side 32×43 frame. Glass also stippolyte.

Thanks for your response. I am going to get a few more quotes. One company rep quoted me £2,500 then shaved price to £1800.

Oh I got £2160 with another one myself and a third one quoted £1900. Get all the quotes you can. I made sure they had good feedbacks about them as well.
