- Open to persons aged 21 years or over, excluding employees of the Brown-Forman Corporation, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion and residents of any jurisdiction in which this type of prize draw, or similar promotions, are illegal or otherwise prohibited or restricted.
- Closing date is open from 25th August to 1st September 2016. Entries received after this date will not be included.
- To enter go to www.metro.co.uk/JDHoney and complete the entry. No responsibility is accepted for any entry which is not delivered, or is delayed or damaged due to technical reasons. Each till receipt may only be used once.
- There is 1 main prize to be won consisting of a trip for the winner and a guest to the Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Competition in Lynchburg Tennessee. The main prize winner will be the first name drawn at random from all valid entries. The main prize consists of return economy flights for two, departing on 20th October 2016 from the winner’s closest International airport to Nashville and returning on 23rd October 2016, including return transfers between Nashville Airport and the hotel. The prize also includes 3 nights’ accommodation in a 4 star hotel in Nashville (based on two people sharing a twin room, with breakfast only included) and $1,000 to cover any incidentals including breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 days; organised transport to the distillery and a visit to the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg.
- The main prize winner and travelling companion shall be responsible for travel to and from the winner’s nearest international airport, together with any additional expenses including spending money and any insurance premiums required.
- The winner and travelling companion will need to provide satisfactory evidence that they are both aged 21 years or over. The minimum legal age for the purchase of alcohol in the USA is 21. As a US producer of alcoholic beverages, Brown-Forman has determined that it will not sponsor, directly or indirectly, travel to the USA for any individual who has not yet attained the age of 21.
- The main prize winner and travelling companion must hold valid passports with 6 months' validity remaining. The prize-winner and guest must also comply with immigration requirements for entry into the US), and must not have a criminal record/any unspent convictions. It is the responsibility of the prize-winner and their guest to arrange any necessary visas to enter the US. The Promoter will provide supporting documentation where appropriate.
- Any amendments to or cancellation of the trip made by the main prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges, which will be the responsibility of the prize winner. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner, should the original main prize winner not validate their identity and age within 3 weeks of having been notified by the Promoter as the prize winner.
- The winner will be contacted via telephone. The draw will be supervised by an independent person. Winner and guest are required to verify identity and age before receiving prize.
- The winner is responsible for payment of any taxes applicable to their claiming of the prize.
- Terms and conditions of third parties may apply. The promoter is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third party.
- An additional two reserve entries will be drawn. If the first winner cannot be contacted following reasonable efforts, is unable to verify their age or if the original winner is not available to take the prize, the prize will be awarded to the second entry drawn. If the second winner cannot be contacted following reasonable efforts, is unable to verify their age or if the original winner is not available to take the prize, the prize will be awarded to the third entry drawn. Winners’ details will be available after this date by sending an SAE marked “Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey & Metro – BBQ Championships Competition” to the Promoter at the address below.
- The prize is non transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value, should those advertised become unavailable for any reason prior to the commencement of this promotion. The promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control with no liability to any entrants, the prize winner or any third party.
- By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. The decision of Promoter in all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
