  • Morning ((((((((((hugs ) if you need one. Hester, I had to go back and read that bit about the bush........nearly choked laughing.......

We had rain last night, but the sun is out, so another warm day. OH wants to go to the library, should be interesting, as he will have to walk from the car to the library.........fingers crossed please that there is not an incident..he can be very stubborn when he mood takes him. Nurse is not due until after 12 to check him, I think after the weekend we may be able to stop that.

I made enquires about a sitter it would cost me £180 a month for someone two hours a week to go shopping and to cover me doing the quilting group. So he is going to have to come with me to the group. I will do my shopping whilst he is having his siesta which is what I did yesterday. I had to take a parcel in to the PO and did a quick race round Lidl. He had just woken up when I got home.

Time to get up and start the day..........

I got up early to put ingredients in the breadmaker for a rapid loaf and have pizza dough rising to make pizza wheels later.

DD and friend are coming round about ten so I want to dash around and tidy before they arrive. It looks as if it is going to be a nice day so hope to get bedding washed and on the line outside.

Are there no groups or volunteers that might help? I know it is a worry if DH goes out but maybe it will help him realise he needs to be careful.

    Hester

I nearly choked on my cup of tea ;)

Hugs to all and going to clean and tidy.

DD and friend have just left to go on a long walk loaded down with home made pizza wheels and a thick home made sandwich with salad and cold ham. I am useless at slicing fresh warm bread.

Upstairs beds are stripped and a first load of washing is on ready to be hung outside later. I have had some lunch and am going to look out a special recipe for tomorrow. Will look in the freezer and hope for inspiration. Thinking of fish pie, cottage pie, lasagne or chicken tarragon.

    Hugs to all

  • Speky, I don't know what you mean, it's not my fault some of you have your minds in the gutter!
    I'm glad I gave you a chuckle.

Well DD2 is on holiday so my childcare duties are all over until next Friday when I have DD1's 11 and 12 yo to stay.

I've visited DD1 for a couple of hours, the children have a contact visit today with Mum, DD will take them, it should be a SW but they are notoriously unreliable. They should have seen mum last week but she 'missed the train'.
Probably out of her head on heroin, I hope she turns up this time, the children are so disappointed when she doesn't show up.

    Hugs Hester

Morning, couldn't sleep so I'm up having a cuppa.

Thanks for your support re. DH. I'm so worried about him, never seen him this low. Tonight we will go through our finances with a fine tooth comb and sort out a plan. Unfortunately I have a longer day at the church (typical) as a volunteer is handing another job over to me. This involves tea and cake though so every cloud.
Coxy I'd logged off by the time you posted yesterday, so only just seen your bad news. Like everyone else, I'll be crossing my fingers that something turns up for you and your DH very soon. Mr LW was out of work for 11 months some years back, and it was awful, so I really do sympathise.
It is wasp season, I'm not scared of much but I freeze in proximity to those nasty stripy horrors. And as the kitchen window handle fell off sone months ago it is now permanently open so they come in a lot.
I hate the little blighters; I'm allergic to wasp venom, so I leave the room and let Mr LW deal with them.

Talking of unwanted intruders, we had a snail trying to come in via the open patio door last night. Molluscs absolutely make me shudder, so again Mr LW had to deal with it - he gave it a flying lesson. :D

Me too:rotfl: I read it the first time without registering who it was, and then happened to glance at the posters name. I immediately re-read it in a different light:D

    Sorry Hester :o

Hester: It's the mental images you evoke! The bit about it taking over the front flower bed is a picture I'm not going forget in a hurry.

Coxy: all I can say is something that has saved my reason in particularly dark times, "This too shall pass."
I don't know if you know it but there is a book called ' Plan B' by Pete Wilson.subtitled 'When God doesn't show up the way you thought he would.'
Over the past year this book has single handedly kept me out of the psychiatric hospital.
AOD: Like you I'm not afraid of much. Wasps are more than much! I swell up alarmingly and it takes days to get over a sting. Thankfully I've not been stung since 1962, I think it was. In the autumn I am never without a tube of antihistamine cream in my pocket, just in case.

I think JackieO must be nearly home by now. Wise lady. The Island has the annual Scooter Festival this weekend and there are thousands of the blighters buzzing around. Fortunately I live away from the crowded bits so am left in comparative peace and quiet.

Some strange people read these posts Hester.....dont know what they were on about!

Evening all, my week of 5.30 rising is over and I survived, if only just! DD 4 and little E came home this afternoon, she is shattered and in a lot of pain, shes my baby and I hate that I cant make the pain go away. C and M were having a nap when she came so didnt see their reaction to their new sister! DSIL to be is off until 10thSeptember so she will hopefully get a little rest....if she only will!

Coxy.....so sorry to hear of your of your financial situation......I hope that something turns up soon.

Hester.....I have said this before but your "work" daily exhausts me. Can you not manage a few days of just doing nothing?

Lainey...sorry to hear that your Mam is having such bad days.

Csarina......wish that I was near you as sitting knitting by OH to give you a couple of hours break would be a pleasure.......sorry it cant be, surely there is some group locally who would be able to help?

JackieO.....hope that you are home safely.......take care on the road tomorrow, good to hear that you had a good holiday.

Feeling tired tonight, its been a busy day. Best wishes to those I didnt mention, you are all in my thoughts.
