Myhermes fraud

Options
I recently arrived home to discover a card saying "Door step bushes" it was a package that I was expecting .I contacted the seller a difficult process because the carrier MYHERMES had listed it as received so I contacted them also. In the midst of the emails MYHERMES said two interesting things firstly it had been delivered and they had a signature which they provided a copy of. When I pointed out to them that was clearly a forgery as why would anyone put a card through the door if they had a signature they ignored this. Instead they said it was a one off incident and as I was not a customer I should contact the seller. Just one problem is it isn't. Some six months ago I received a card with almost the exact same description on it and when I contacted them they finally declared that the parcel in question was not for me it had been wrongly addressed. I asked them for proof and they did nothing they just ignored me. But the thing is by forging my signature aren't they committing a crime.

OP your contract is with the the seller, contact them for a refund and let the seller or who ever it is get a refund from the courier.

If you have the package then what's the issue.

Just to answer a couple of comments in both cases it took multiple emails for them to accept and admit fault and always begrudgingly. In the first instance I never received the package or any form of compensation or a replacement. With the second package the seller was lied to and told I signed for it but when I pointed out that the following why would they put a card through my door if they had a signature he supplied a replacement. They are a disreputable company that won't take responsibility for there mistakes and will go as far as lying to deprive someone of there property. Unfortunately for them I am not the sort that will lie down and accept it.

So, did you receive the second parcel, or not?

Yes, forging a signature is fraud.

Sadly, some couriers and even Royal Mail postman have done this (particularly when there's a porch to leave it in and also around the pre-Christmas period, I've noticed).
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.
