I'm quite impressed with the Philips dimmable LEDs that I bought recently.

They are claimed to be as bright as a 60W lamp, but the one in my dining room is definitely brighter than the old 60W lamp it replaced.

However, when used on the dimmer, it does flicker just once in a while for no apparent reason.

I bought a one today in Tesco. Phillips 8.5w (60w equivalent) in clear - had a choice of clear or pearl). It's dimmable and is working perfectly. The light isn't often dimmed now as it's DD room and she likes good light to do her make up etc. Bit pricey at £7 but job done and as she leaves her light on for hours then I'm happy with outlay. Just need to remember to keep receipt and box as it has a 3 year guarantee!
