Prove it letter query

Options
Dear All,

I have the misfortune with dealing with a known DCA.

I have contacted them via email and they say that it is not statute barred but have sent no proof of debt.

When I send a prove it letter is there a time period that they have to provide said proof or can it be for as long as they want? Reason is I sent an informal request and received acknowledgement in June so am wanting to send a final prove it letter using pen and paper.

Thanks :)

They can take as long as they want in theory, as long as they aren’t asking you for payments in the mean time. You might not even hear from them again if they don’t have evidence that you owe the debt.
