Just opened one of these accounts online today with £500. I know I can pay in £500/month. But it that per calendar month? Can I pay my next £500 in on the 1st September?

Yes you can.0 -
Thanks for posting.
I also started this account a couple of days ago, and wondered exactly the same.

I know what you mean - the reference is to "month" but I think that in the absence of any qualification (a la Santander and the "monthiversary) one must assume calendar month.
In fact ,I started mine in the mid month and made the next subscription on the first of the following month and this was accepted.0 -

The FAQ indicates that the cash would have been returned sharpish if my action had not been acceptable.
I have checked with relative who also opened part way through a month and successfully made next deposit on the first of the following month.
However, you can always ring NW and check - as teddy's mum says ( quite justifiably) taking the word of an anonymous cove on the internet can be unwise!:)0 -

The former makes reference to the latter also applying to your account/relationship with them.
And the General T&Cs do indeed "exactly" define a month...General

Many thanks for this!0 -
The software won't let you transfer more into the Regular Saver than your allowance. I discovered this when I got the date wrong and tried to transfer £500 in on the 31st thinking it was the 1st of the next month. The £500 was instantly and automatically rejected.“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0

Similar happened to me too, erroneous payment was returned a couple of days later.0
