Hi folks,
My car insurance via comparison sites seems to go up exponentially year on year, despite 3 yrs no claims.
Last year, managed to get a good quote from Aviva, and this year offering me £357 which is way lower than the comparison quotes which start @ £600.
Any other companies folks know of that maybe aren't on comparison sites which offer good rates?
Thanks.

It is hit and miss. I stayed with one insurer for several years because their renewal was within a few pounds of the cheapest "proper" insurer prices. I always got a quote with DirectLine and they were way out in pricing. This year though they came in way less than my renewal quote and well placed against the comparison sites even with their cash back. I have also moved my home insurance to them this year for the same reason. Also remember the comparison sites generally offer the cheapest option no added extras high excess price.0

Is that their auto renewal quote or have you spoke to them? If you haven't, give them a call and see if they can do better. Always worth a go.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0 -

Just claiming on home insurance with direct line, they are a complete and utter shambles, getting there eventually but had to reject a derisory cash offer and then do all the legwork with their contractors. Their project management is non existent.0
