Temporary red lights & the law?

Genuine LOLI've always thought the best plan would be for a hooded mystery figure to simply go and turn the light round, or unplug it
A single flash will work from about 100-200m away, if the light is so equipped. Done it many times. I think it interprets the light as an approaching vehicle, and if there is nothing in the opposite direction, it sensibly switches the lights over (after a pause to allow any traffic to clear the roadworks).misterbarlow wrote: »A lot of the ones with the little sensors on the top can be tripped to turn green for you by repeatedly flashing your main beam very quick as you approach it.. the sensor interprets this for flashing blue lights and automatically turns green in that direction!!!If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -
Wasn't doing that ruled illegal or something almost illegal a few years back?0

Don't think so, but if you drive a Nissan, the last thing you do is flash the lights. Mine goes through headlight bulbs like an elephant goes through sticky buns as it is, without flashing them on & off.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I don't recall seeing anything of that nature, and it would be impossible to police, as by definition you are flashing your lights when there is no-one there to see them. If there was traffic waiting at the other end, or you were second in the queue, you would be waiting for the lights to change normally.Wasn't doing that ruled illegal or something almost illegal a few years back?If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0
