Mixed up Credit Report

I'm not able to sort this out given it's after office hours, but will ring the CRA in the morning and just wondered if anyone has had this situation happen to them.
I went on mybank and noticed they have a credit card with a 0% interest for transfers, so thought out of interest I'd check my credit rating. I was expecting everything to be great!!

Once I'd signed up for a free trial I couldn't understand that it was really bad, as I looked down from the 1/5 credit rating, about a score of 414, I kept seeing all these accounts I didn't recognise. Then I noticed someone with a barely similar name to mine was also included on my report and consequently all her credit details and report too!!
I can see everything about that persons loans, payday loans, accounts etc. Address is totally different to mine and so is her name. So I don't think this could be identity theft, because they aren't using anything of mine for the opening of accounts, well I presume not anyway. Most of the accounts are in default, thus the score and rating. I therefore decided to check through a different agency and same thing applies.

I last checked with my score about a couple of years ago and everything was great then. I'm going to ring the first agency tomorrow and see what they can do. I know you can forward a disassociation letter, but I think there's possibly a bit more to fix here.
Has this happened to anyone else?

There are others that have posted similar stories. A notice of disassociation should clear it up but, even if more legwork is needed, this is still your first step.

Thans for your reply. I got through to the CRA and they were able to put a note on each thing that didn't apply. They have said that their sister CRA which I had joined as mentioned above, would be rectified also. I was able to check on Experian and none of this merging had taken place so it seems to be a problem with this particular. CRA.

Hopefully if I wait 28 days it will all be sorted.
