Renewal vs new quotes

For the first time on my two cars the renewal quotes have been a good £30 cheaper than the next nearest quote via all the usual comparison sites and the couple that aren't on there. I've never had this before, are others getting their renewal premiums to be cheaper than new quotes

  • NO! I usually am in the same position as you and have only changed my insurance provider once in the last six years because of this. unfortunately this time my renewal was a staggering 36% more expensive than last year!

    Mines the same for home insurance. £90 for a new policy, £73 to renew!
