Firstly, apologies as I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this.
I opened a Very account and a littlewoods account over past week. I was approved for both and have ordered a few little things.
However, I was asked to call up to confirm my details which I did and I was then told that my credit account was being cancelled as the phone number on the account was a dead line and had been used on other accounts. They suspected fraud.
It is not fraud and I am now fuming. I have offered to give passport/driving license details, anything to prove I am me.
I no longer want an account with these companies but I do want to make sure that my credit file is not affected by these suggesting fraud when it is anything but. I have contacted them stating that I want to make a complaint and still want to prove I am who I say I am. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks
Darren

Have you double checked they have the correct telephone number for you and that it’s actually your working number?
It seems strange that they would say it’s a dead line if it isn’t.

It is the correct number but they seem to be having issues getting through.0

Then call them from it.0

Somethings not quite right there. They would have more reason to suspect fraud then a dead phone line.0
