Odd electrical problem

Options
Evening all

Around lunchtime today the washing machine and dishwasher died. I've checked circuit breakers and they're all on, the machines themselves are ok on extensions.

I went to check the electics where the 2 isolator switches are next to the worktop and i've got 6v only on the live side only, yes the meter was setup and switched on correctly.

Any thoughts?

We've not had any work done nor drilling etc

Are they both fed from the one wall socket ? If so I'd check that the wiring wasn't loose in the wall socket.

They have separate sockets but both isolator switches are fed from the same source.

I just put it all back together and now its all working again so im really confused now! Oh well should be getting a new kitchen in the next 6 months they can replace all the wiring then, in the meantime i'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks for suggestion, maybe reseating all the plugs fixed a short or bad contact somewhere?
