Is a payment still covered when balance transfered

Hi, i used my credit card to pay £2000 towards my new car, i have today made a balance transfer of the £2000 to another card to benefit from the 0% interest, would any of these credit card companies still assist me if something goes wrong with the car? and i need to claim my money back?
thank you

For the same duration as your rights with the retailer.

Section 75 (your card protection) gives you the same rights against the card as the retailer.

So if you have a valid claim for a refund, you can gain it through the card if the retailer doesn't oblige.

But the period will vary. It's reasonable to expect a refund of a TV if it breaks down after 6 months. It's not reasonable to expect a refund on a fish supper if it tastes a bit funny after the same period.

Statutory limitation on contract claims is 6 years from breach. So if you do have a claim, you have 6 years to make it. That doesn't mean anything is guaranteed for 6 years, just that's how long you get to make your claim.
  • would this still apply to a £10,000 second hand car?
    thank you

I dunno where your buying your fish suppers but you should shop around. If section 75 is covering you then your overpaying a little ....
