Faulty goods return

Hi, I purchased a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses from the Eyelove store in Birmingham Airport in April. I had worn them for 2 weeks on my holiday in June when one of the nose pads snapped off. As I was travelling via Birmingham Airport at the start of July, I took the glasses and receipt back expecting an exchange or for them to offer to repair them.
However, the store said that because the glasses had been purchased longer than 28 days earlier, they would not replace, refund or repair the goods. I was surprised as the glasses came with a 2 year warranty. They said that their policy was correct and that replacing or repairing the glasses was not their responsibility after 28 days.
I explained that they had sold me faulty goods but they stated that the responsibility lay with Michael Kors and not them. Because I was boarding a flight I couldn't stand and argue, so left feeling very disappointed. Now I cannot find any contact details for Michael Kors in the UK and am at a loss of what to do.
Can you tell me if the store is correct and despite the goods being faulty, they have no responsibility to make good?

Your contract is with Eyelove, they either lied to you or genuinely thought they were correct.
You need to contact them again.0 -
Snapped off suggests physical damage which wouldn't be covered by a warranty.
However if you want to make a claim on the 2 year warranty then you do need to speak to Michael Kors. If you want to go down the SOGA route then you may need to go legal. Why bother with the hassle when you can go to Michael Kors?0 -

MK glasses are made by Luxottica (along with pretty much every other designer brand). I would agree with everything said above, but if you want to contact them directly you can do so here:
