Honda Civic "check system"

If you are unable to bridge these two terminals with foil or make up a bridging tool by a piece of wire and two connectors then your better off paying the £40 at a garge to read the code for you.
You will be able to find out what the code means with a little searching, hopefully it will be an easy and cheap fix for you.0 -
Halfords do sell the Autel AL319, badged as Sealey for £52 (type code reader into the online search)
If you go onto eBay and type Autel al319 you find "genuin autel very good number one" al319s for £22 - £32.
I'd type autel ms309 in the search and get one of those for £11, make sure the seller is not in China and it will arrive by Saturday.
As pointed out though, you still need to know what is wrong once you have the error code.
The reader might display something likeP0131
O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Bank 1 Sensor 1
Then you reset the code, and if the same code comes back, you post on here or a Honda forum, and hopefully someone can tell you what to do next.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)
