Had this phone for a good few years now but seems to have developed a fault.When someone rings its set to auto answer but now rings constantly even when picked up.And if you press the answer button your met with static.I did think it may be the line but the internet is working fine.I did find another thread on here with a similar problem but no resolution.Anyone had a similar problem with this handset ?

Have you had any new wifi devices or even a microwave as could be static interference

New BT HH6 but it was fine since we got it 3 weeks ago,only started doing this a few days ago.

I switched off the router then connected the phone up again still the same.
Constant ringing and if you press the answer button constant buzzing noise.Might give it to a neighbour to try will know for sure that way.

I have a feeling this might be a line fault with BT rather than a handset problem.Will know for sure if the neighbour tests it.
I googled "phone constantly ringing" and loads of results came up.

Turned out the phone is fine worked ok in the neighbours.
Did a line check with BT and there is a fault on the line at the exchange so they are currently repairing it.
