Average household bills

Hello,
I'm about the rent my first home, we are looking at a two bedroom house with an EPC rating of 60 D. How much should my bills be on average. I have very little idea what gas, electric and water bills cost each month and how to keep them down. How much should it be?

Thank you,

    Welcome to the forum.

That is a 'how long is a piece of string' question.

Water charges vary tremendously in different parts of the country, also being metered or not is another factor. Could be £15 a month or £60 a month.

Gas and electricity are less variable, but still depends on the way you use gas/electricity. For a couple out at work each day budget for about £70 a month.

I am in a similar house (2-3 bedroom Victorian terrace). My water is £25 a month at the moment (on meter) and my gas/electricity average out as about £70 per month. There are 2 people living in the house.
