Help setting up Virgin cable Broadband with D Link wireless router

Can anyone offer any help as to how to set this up.
We are on Virgin cable Broadband and using a D-Link DI-614 wireless router.
We have connected the set top box to the router, and the router to my laptop using an ethernet cable.
I have ran the wizard by logging into the router using the IP address 192.168.0.1
But every time we get to the end of the wizard (the 'save and restart' stage) it doesn't work.
At one point in the process it asks to enter a MAC address, should I enter the MAC address of the Virgin modem in here or what?
Can anyone offer any help / advice? cheers

That’s not necessary. Virgin Media don’t restrict the MAC address to that of the computer originally used to activate the connection, and you don’t have to put in a “Host Name”. Have you tried switching the set-top box off and back on? The set-top box expects the same piece of equipment to remain connected while it’s switched on. If you change what’s attached while it’s switched on, it won’t talk to the new device. Did you select “Dynamic IP Address” in the wizard? If so, it should just work.At one point in the process it asks to enter a MAC address, should I enter the MAC address of the Virgin modem in here or what?古池や蛙飛込む水の音0
