FU’s “First Fixed August 2017 v6” tariff Eligibility.

Newly arrived this morning on my Energy Helpline tariff comparison results page is FU’s “First Fixed August 2017 v6 ONLINE ONLY" (sic) offering.

EHL has annotated on it in red, “Only available to customers on a Big Six energy supplier Standard tariff”.

Eh? !!!!!! is that restriction all about? :huh:

Shows the contempt they have for their existing customers.
Cheaper deals for new customers only.
FU really are not consumer champions taking on all comers. They are only after the gullible who haven't swapped from a standard tariff.

Yes, gsminx, I realise that they want to give the Mushroom Treatment to their own customers and poach mugs from other suppliers, but why only from the Big Six and, so bizarrely, why only those who are on Standard Variable tariffs?

Why Big 6 Standard Tariffs Only?
Well they can then use marketing that says 100% of new customers have each saved £999 pound per year by using FU instead of "Big 6 Supplier " ( then in very small font) "Standard Tariff".

Yes, I did have a quick browse last night and noticed the 'Aug 17 v6 Online Only', though there was no red rider clause then. It wasn't cheap enough for me to bother with it, anyway.

But that does explain why it didn't appear when I logged in to my FU account. There is a 'Sep 17 Online Only' there, but the prices look considerably higher.
