Nothing can get rid of that Browser hijack so far

Go into chrome settings, remove any addons , then set your homepage back to google or whatever.
    That should finish the job.

Although i would have expected ADW cleaner to remove the offending addon(s)

    Bingo.
    This worked.
Thanks to everyone for your help.

I agree with Andy's post in the other thread you created. :)
  • I think this might be browser hijacker. Some antivirus software can not detect browser hijacker. So, you can do it yourself. You can reset browser settings like homepage and remove suspicious extensions/add-on. Then check "properties" and delete malicious links.

I recently got infected although I use Avast and Shadow Defender. I ran scans with MBAM, JunkWare Removal Tool and AdwCleaner which cleaned out the nasties but I ran a further scan with RogueKiller and that picked up one the others missed.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
