Where to rent near Feltham/Bedfont

Hi all,
I'm moving down from the North next week to start work in Feltham (Bedfont Lakes) and would really appreciate some help with advice on the area. I'm booking room viewings for next week and, as I'm staying in a Travelodge till I find somewhere, time is of the essence! My budget is 850-900 per month MAX all incl so I can't afford my own place and am looking to share.
I have bookings in the following areas: Ashford, Stanwell, Feltham - are they dodgy? I'm a single woman so really looking to live somewhere safe within an hour's commute by public transport. I've been looking at Richmond and Twickenham too but so far all rooms are a bit out of my budget or on a very high floor (I have a knee issue which makes more than one flight of stairs difficult).
One landlord is especially keen to get me to view his place in Hanworth but I've heard it's rough (Feltham side).
Any recommendations as to nice safe areas that can be reached by public transport would be great. More importantly, are there any areas that I should look to avoid?
Thanks in advance!

i have friends living in Hanworth and take the dog for a walk around the area- people have always been friendly and pleasant. Like everywhere there are some nice bits and some run down areas, so it does depend on which road the property is on. The best thing to do is go and see, take a walk around. I have never felt unsafe as a woman walking the dog on my own.0
