rental car insurance

Hi everyone

So I now live in USA, rather than UK. When I lived in UK, I used to use Questor for car rental insurance, rather than paying the really expensive insurance from the car rental company. Now I live in the USA, I can't use them anymore. IS there a company I can use that will insure a USA driver in the UK?

What are you trying to achieve? You'll have Third Party cover as standard with your British rental. What else do you wish to receive insurance for? If it's for CDW etc, then just book the rental with your US credit card. There's a good chance it comes with CDW (and primary insurance if pushed) already. My AMEX platinum comes with CDW and primary insurance (if no primary cover existed), for example.

Ultimately, why waste your money on buying insurance you'll never need?

I know the car rental will come with Third Party cover, but I have been stung by things like a damaged alloy wheel and I would prefer to have things like that covered. Paying by US credit card isn't an option.
