Masking tape damage - puckered edges

Made the classic mistake of leaving my masking tape on for (far) too long, quite a few small tears (and a few bigger ones).
What's the best way to repair this, it's right down to the bare plaster? In addition, some of the larger tears are puckered/raised at the edges, do these need to be treated differently?
Originally I'd used a Screwfix bare plaster paint followed by two coats of Dulux silk (I think).

Decorators caulk >http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-decorators-caulk-white-380ml/43686
I find this masking tape is well worth the extra cost > http://www.screwfix.com/p/frogtape-painter-s-delicate-surface-masking-tape-24mm-x-41m/54939"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Having used that very caulk to fill cracks in skirting boards and gaps between wood and rough plaster, I can't see what use it would be for torn off paint?
I had stuck the masking tape to my T-shirt 2-3 times before application, new batch seems to be stickier than most.0 -
The low tack frogtape is pretty good; if you have to use tape. Sounds like you have a pretty good idea what you're doing anyway.
In your position I would sand the area to level it out, then mist and top coat the affected area again.0 -
Thanks
I have successfully decorated quite a few rooms in my time, but singlehandedly decorating a house with a 1 year old to consider makes everything twice as complicated and takes three times as long!0 -
Another vote for the low tack frogtape. Very effective. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

More looking for ideas on how to fix the existing damage than for tape suggestions, think this topic has been covered sufficently now0

How much build up of paint do you have?
You may have to fill the parts that have peeled off then paint o er the patches.
Is the tape on the edges of the wall or have you used it to get stripes?
Maybe it's time to learn how to cut in.0 -

Use decorators caulk as a filler to level imperfections, before touching up the paint.
You should be using LOW tack tape."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Surely it would be far too thick to replace a layer or two of missing paint? The plaster isn't damaged at all, paint just torn cleanly off of it.0

I always rub my thumb over the sticky side of masking table before I stick it down. It makes standard masking tape low-tack.0
