Halifax asking for employer references

Thank you, Kingstreet and Thrugelmir. The blank letterheads were fine.
In case anyone ever comes across this thread looking for an answer, references and letter heads were sent on Thursday and income verified on Friday (they rung up HMRC and confirmed all info was true) Took awfully long for the papers to come in the post but once they were sent off were processed in under 24hrs! :j0
