Pcn notice mcdonalds

Options
Hi

I have looked through the noobie section and i am not very good with these things.

I went to a mcdonalds last month and went through a drive thru and parked up. I got out my car and walked to meet a friend, we returned and went back inside the restaurant and ordered something to eat. I recieved my notice saying i overstayed by 8 minutes!!

I am a disabled person and would like to know what are my options? As i dont understand the sticky 100%

Many thanks

send the blue text appeal to UKPC, either online if you can do so , or via the PO but get a free cert of posting at the PO counter , keep the proof of sending it safe

add a note to the blue text at the bottom stating that

Under the BPA CoP clause #13 a driver is allowed a grace period before a period of parking and over 10 minutes to leave the car park as well, so 8 minutes overstay is well within the BPA CoP and the charge should be cancelled

DO NOT NAME THE DRIVER OR INFER WHO WAS DRIVING

also complain to the MCD manager loudly and demand he cancel it , especially tell him that MCD are responsible under the EA2010 and that you qualify as a protected person under that act , so they have to make reasonable adjustments for you
  • Thanks alot!!! Apreciate it alot. I was sure it was just a case of intimidation to force me to pay the discounted price

Try to understand the sticky, it is not rocket science, and without a modicum of self help, you might end up in court.

Under the Equality Act 2010, McD is required to make "reasonable adjustments" to cater for your"protected characteristics". Write to McD pointing this out, and ask them to cancel the ticket.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
