Hi guys

I have seen a hotel that i want to take my hubby to for his birthday, trouble is it's a little pricey,:o The hotel is the Old England which is a Macdonald hotel in Windermere, the dates are 2 nights (Friday 1st February 2008 & Saturday 2nd February 2008), the best price i have got for a double with breakfast is £100 per night, making the total for both of us £200 b&b.

Can anyone beat this for me ?? :beer:

This is not a hotel but a friend of mine stays here often. We are booked to go in October. The Watermill Inn in the village of Ings 2 miles east of Windermere . Bed and Breakfast is £75 per person per night.

Macdonald hotels are quite likely to have special offers in early February as it will be a relatively quiet time so it might be worth waiting to book. You can sign up to the Macdonald site and see the pattern of their offers.
