Will a fake tan run in hot weather?

random i know, but considering a fake tan before i go to thailand next month, would the humidity/sweating cause it to run or streak?

Do you mean a spray tan?

If you have it done 2/3 days before you go - and you should because you could look like a plant pot - there's no reason why it should run. I had a spray tan done 2 days before my daughter's wedding and I showered approx 8 hours after (overnight basically) and it kind of sets on your skin.

Agree with the above poster - have it 48 hours before you go, shouldn't be a problem. And don't go too dark from your normal skin colour as if there are any issues it will look ridiculous.

I've had plenty of them done before holidays, never had an issue yet.

I've had a light one before going away and it's really good on holiday with the sea as it just naturally fades mines never ran. I always go for the lightest next to my skin tone and normally have it done 2 day before as above as sometimes it does go a bit darker.

Just make sure you moisturise all over after bath shower being in the sea or it will go patchy after a few days.

The irony is that many locals in SE Asia cover up as much as they can, as looking pale is beautiful.

Reading this thread I can see why.:)

To the extent that you can buy skin whitening products by the bucket load including skin whitening roll on deodorant. :p

Also an indication that one is Hiso and not one that performs manual labour on the land.

I often have a spray tan before I go on holiday , but I've been using the same high quality beautician for years .
a few months ago, i just wanted a tan because I was going to a posh event, and thought I'd try somewhere cheaper.
Against my better judgement , I chose a local salon , who were just going to spray " golden" which actually turned out more like orange, and very patchy on my legs .
Eventually when I went back to my regular salon a few weeks later she told me some tans are better for certain skins ( and I've always preferred a more naturalu looking tan rather than the orange look) so my advice to you would be to have a practice run before you go and see if you are happy. Bad tans always seem to last much longer than good ones.
They often wear off around feet and on the neck and can look darker
On the knees. Swimming makes them wear off quicker, but they won't run
