Tax Credits/CB and informing them child going to college

I've tried searching the forum and the internet in general but can't find a definitive answer.
My daughter left high school in June and is going to college in September. My tax credit award letter said the payments will be reduced from 1st September. DD gets her GCSE results on Thursday and enrolls at college on the following Tuesday. When do I tell HMRC she's carrying on on an eligible course? When she enrolls or can I tell them now? I'm on a very tight budget and the drop in money will make a big difference, so much so I'd struggle before it was backdated.
She's definitely doing A Levels and has guaranteed places at several colleges (she's going to be doing Maths A Levels and already passed that GCSE last year so has definitely got on the course).

If you know for sure that she is carrying on in full time non advanced education then call them now.
TC only ask you to confirm the level of the course, not where it is being taken.0 -
I don't get Tax Credits but i received a letter months ago from CB asking what my daughter was doing after leaving school. I'd call them as soon as you can.0

Thanks for the replies.
I called them. I was expecting long wait but got through straightaway. I was told as I had already sent the CB form back they had something on the system and my call was just confirmation really for CTC and they would mark her down for A Levels which takes us up to June 2018.
Payments will continue to be the same as usual. I would get an award letter after the 1st September when the 'change' takes effect.0
