i have sky fibre with around 40 Mb/s and its working well, my problem is that i cant get the same rates in the living room. I live in a bungalow which is made of a steel structure on the outside and between the walls as well, the hub is located in the hall and so is the connection box, and this serves the other rooms well, the living room is not adjacent to the hub and when i try and use wifi in the living room i have continuous problems with drops and buffering.
i have changed the wifi channel so that it is not conflicting with any neighbours, i'm the only one nearby using this channel,
can someone give me some assistance please to help me as im not sure if i need
an extender and what size of one or wall plugs or a different router
any help is much appreciated

Look at a pair of powerlines with wifi. They send the internet signal through your mains electicity, allowing you to have a second wifi signal in another room.0

Seconded, when I lived in my parents a few years back I set this up and it worked like a charm. My flat was outside of the original house walls, insulation and Wifi aren't mates.Look at a pair of powerlines with wifi. Oh and don't buy a WiFi repeater / extender. I tried that first. It extends the range, but it halves the bandwidth! (All comms go from Router - Repeater - Device - Repeater - Router instead of Router - Device - Router).0
