Would I be able to get a mortgage under these circumstances?

Comments directed at an individual are NOT comments on the RTB scheme. Personal attacks on people are NOT comments on the RTB scheme.
Comments like I wrote about my own personal view on the RTB scheme are comments on the RTB scheme.
Posters should not come here to then have personal attacks thrown at them because of their circumstances. End of story.
Totally agree. I can't fathom how people feel they are able to cast such judgements on people and their situations based on a post on a forum . However , OP , like I do with many of these posters who troll the Internet and enjoy passing negative judgements on others , ignore their posts . They are often not productive , lack any life experience and show a severe lack of emotional intelligence.0 -
We are not trolls. Yes we do have a negative opinion about RTB in relation to people's incomes. We are not sad enough to surf the internet putting people down. BTW I am very productive, got plenty life experience and do have emotional intelligence. You are sound like a troll directing insults. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Go find a discussion thread about rtb to voice your opinion instead of being nasty to individuals asking for assistance about something they are entitled to apply for. The fact you can't seem to tell the difference is why you appear to lack emotional intelligence.
OP, you need to find a mortgage broker experienced in rtb. They will know whether any lenders would consider you as your income is now good but the fact your employment isn't permanent, your debt and your old default aren't but they might not be insurmountable. Even if the answer is no for now there may be advice that you could follow that would change the situation in 6-12 months.
Make sure you understand the rules and restrictions ongoing with rtb. Also check about upcoming works you'll now be responsible for paying, as some find that owning is more expensive than they realise or that they may prefer to own a property where the council or HA isn't the freeholder even though that means losing their discount. Just be sure you are making an fully informed choice.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
