Hello,
My lawn seems to be infested with a coarse grass that makes it look terrible. Any ideas what the grass in the pictures is, so that i can find how to get rid of it? probably yorkshire fog i am guessing.
I will probably have to dig it all out and seed new grass next year
Thank you
Mike

What are the roots like? Is it fast growing?
Could be this couch grass, https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=2830 -
Could it be annual ryegrass?
There's images there to google that look similar to me.0 -

My vote goes for couch grass also. We have some in our lawn and it survives despite the quarterly lawn treatments we have. I think the only way to get rid of it is dig those parts out and reseed.Make £2025 in 2025
