First Utility
Have received an email from my dual energy provider (sourced through MSE), First Utility, suggesting I lock in for two years:
With prices so low, now’s the perfect time to secure new rates. Update to our 2018 plan and quite simply we guarantee your energy rates will be fixed for two years. Plus receive a FREE Cosy smart thermostat to help you manage your energy usage.
Bearing in mind the current situation, is this a good move, or should I keep checking the comparison sites? Advice welcome, please.

Depends upon the prices what are they .0

I would not lock in as prices are very competitive every year. Plus, I've had horrendous customer service from them, from wrong meter readings (even though it was submitted with photographs), took over a year to rectify the readings, delayed bills which were incorrect anyway and had to be rectified, and compensation was not sincere or adequate for all the time I had wasted to call/email them to try and correct things.0

I love First Utility top customer service. Been with them for 4 years now0

I've had the same email.
I've not taken advantage of it as yet.
My current deal with First Utility is the best there is, according to MSE. I don't think this deal will change majorly when my current one runs out so I am happy to wait and see.
If they give me a slightly better insentive than a "cosy" thermostat then I might sign up.0 -
If it's anything like the ones they were touting in May then it isn't worth it.
The numbers didn't make any sort of sense vs a 1 year fix.0
