Cowboy joiner

We have had some finishing off works done to one of our rental properties - some repairs to architraves, a door rehung etc... We paid the cowboy £400+ for the work. The joiner we have got in to fix the bodged work said he would have charged us £50 for it - he is going to have to redo the work i.e. re-hang a door that was put on upside down etc.. What recourse do we have against the original contractor? TIA

You should get original tradesman back to rectify there own works if there faulty etc, If you agree a price then pretty much tuff you had the chance to get other quotes you where not forced into using them unfortunately most see it as your laziness, inexperience etc caused the problem.
I don’t believe for one minute that the joiner would have done the original works for £50 if so get other back to remove all they did and get new to do it for £50
