Has anyone here applied to do permitted work while on ESA? If so did it cause issue from the DWP?

Early last year I applied to do permitted work whilst in receipt of CB ESA, I did 2 hours per day, it caused no problem whatsoever with the DWP.
Obviously it depends on what type of work you are planning to do. I no longer am able to work the few hours that I did so I notified them in June last year that I had stopped.0 -
The important thing is to get approval before you start Permitted Work, but stress to them that you are considering it and haven't actually started. A friend of mine called about PW and they suspended his payment when they sent out the PW1 form to him.0

I don't know what I will do yet, I am working with a charity that supports people looking to get back into work so I am just exploring the market. It is going to be tricky to find something that fits with my skills, experience and (dis)abilities.Early last year I applied to do permitted work whilst in receipt of CB ESA, I did 2 hours per day, it caused no problem whatsoever with the DWP.

With the ESA the options seem to be limited to permitted work for a few hours a week, or signing off completely with the option of a rapid reclaim if it goes wrong within 12 weeks.
This is my concern despite the rules allowing for permitted work. To be fair looking at it from the DWP's point of view how can you say you are unfit to work but at the same time want to do some work? It seems like it would be likely to trigger a review. Of course anyone with a disability or long term health condition knows it is a lot more complicated than that, but being 'right' isn't going to help pay the bills. The important thing is to get approval before you start Permitted Work, but stress to them that you are considering it and haven't actually started.
