I bought a mobile just under a year ago (from carphone warehouse). I have a 2 year warranty.

Had several problems with it, really fed up. Get bad hep from stores.

I am looking into (if possible) getting a refund, but not sure of my rights and how to go about it.

It has always been in a case, has no external damage (apart from minor normal scuffs from use) and has never been dropped.

Bought: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus
When - Sept 2015
Where - Online Carphone Warehouse
How - Debit Card
Went wrong - Poor battery life, crashed three times in last month, once with buzzing noise, once with pixelated screen
Carphone warehouse said they could repair it but might take 28 days (by phone). When I go in they don't even look at it, just say go to samsung
Ideally looking for a refund, or a replacement if not possible

Its up to the vendor to decide repair replace or refund .As Samsung offer a limited 2 year warranty you can go that route. Though scuffs may void Samsung warranty.Read stickies top of his section.Alternative your rights are against the vendor .

I take it that the phones hasn't been repaired before?

CPW will not repair phones themselves and will send them off to manufacturer approved repair centre. If the nearest centre is close to you it will be quicker to take it yourself.

After 9 months you won't get a refund (or at least not a full one), but if the repair fails you can get a replacement.
  • In this situation I would go straight to Samsung.

Samsung repairs are generally quite quick. I had one that was back within 48 hours. 28 days would be a worse case scenario.
