If my 500 becomes 650 i'll sell and pop it into my fund....
£150 gain? Wot, so if you make a (very modest) profit, you're going to quit equities? Not sure I get the strategy.

Ok team! I've betted on IAG (Thanks marv) for the long haul, and IDOX (cheers Apodemus ) for a punt. If my 500 becomes 650 i'll sell and pop it into my fund....

Good golly gosh, this is exciting!

Hey, don't blame me! I'm just some random anonymous dude off t'internet! _pale_

(IAG for "the long haul" :rotfl:)

I said earlier in the thread that I was going to have 500 on shares and 500 in my fund. However, I got a bit excited and spent my fund 500 on IDOX. So if it reaches 650, after fees, I'll put it in my fund and have a free 150. If not, I won't cry.

I do apologise if I've given you the impression that I know what I'm doing....

    AIM = Alternative Investment Market.

Think the bar where Han Solo met Obi Wan Kenobi.
    Wild Wild West....

My favourite bit of Star Wars.

Maybe I should view AIM in a new light.
However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts

No, don't worry, there was no danger of that ;-)

    Have a look at AXM,

    http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-markets/stocks/summary/company-summary/GB00B06K1665GBGBXAIM.html?lang=en

Jumped from 0.11p to 0.18p today.

65.12% rise for a 0.07p increase. Love it.

They used to be called penny stocks, but this takes it to a whole new level of skinny.

...but was over £5.00 a couple of years ago, nicely showing the roller coaster that AIM stocks can be!

And sorry to be pedantic but you mean £0.11 or 11p, not 0.11p which would indeed be less than a penny share! ;)

Sadly he does, indeed, mean 0.18p (0.19p this morning). It was riding (fairly) high at 5p a couple of years ago.

    It is 0.11PENCE.

    I sold 100,000 shares at 0.11p , or G B P 0 . 0 0 1 1 0, in March 2016. From the trading statement:

    Gross Amount £110
    Trading Fee £12.95
    ______________________
    Settlement Amount £97.05

It is in GBX, not GBP.

    Compare with

    http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-markets/stocks/summary/company-summary/GB00B03MM408GBGBXSET0.html?lang=en

which is showing 1,966.00 currently for Royal Dutch Shell, so £19.66.

0.24p at one point today. So up 100% in two days.

The really funky thing is, it looks like the capital raising action was over subscribed!

I think I was offered 25,000 shares at 0.10p, so I was expecting to pay £25, but they charged my account £23.51, on 15th August, and now I see 23,512 new shares have appeared, dated 25th August.

    If it does go back up to 5p, that's 123,512 x 5p = £6,175.60
From an investment of ~£150, including dealing charges.
    Hence it's inside an ISA.

So much entertainment value for £150. :)
