SD Card For A Samsung NV3 Camera?

SD Card For A Samsung NV3 Camera

I got a Samsung NV3 Camera for £135.00 from PC World in Ireland.
I wanted a Sandisk SD card to go with this Digital Camera the Sales Rep
gave a Brand called "Lexar" www.lexar.com www.lexar.com/2gbsd for compatability I checked its not compatable yet Samsung's Cameras Tech Support based In South Africa said to go for 1 GB SD brands Sandisk,Toshiba, and Panasonic she said some people had been successful with the 2GB cards but not all
The price for Lexar 2GB SD Card was £34.24 UK sterling at Amazon.co.uk they only sell Kingston and Sandisk SD cards for £6.84 plus p&p no delivery to Ireland though :(

I notice there are high performance Sandisk SD cards on amazon too,

I was thinking about ebay.co.uk not sure about them been genuine or fakes will a fake damage the actual camera I dont think think so just the precious data captured.

Regards,

Heidy

1 GB is adequate for your needs. You can shoot 67 minutes of video at 30fps with 640 x 480 pixels resolution.

I'd avoid eBay for memory cards, lots of cheap "fakes" are sold branded with labels to make them look like the real deal.

Amazon and places like MyMemory (https://www.mymemory.com) would be my choice for reputable on-line dealers in memory cards.

Sounds like the camera might not support 2Gb cards, so stick with 1Gb cards, Lexar is a good brand, I always use SanDisk personally, and have never had a problem, all their professional cards I use have 10 year warranties, and I shoot thousands of pictures a month without issue.

Unless your camera can shoot many frames a second, you won't get much benefit out of the really fast cards.

I've never had a problem with Sandisk. I would avoid Kingston, as every card I have used has failed at some point.

Consider http://www.picstop.co.uk/ They deliver to Ireland. Low price delivery from their Jersey office.
