Vauxhall key fiasco

I know you are implying my son bent it. I know he didn't. Fact - The case has cracked so the key is not in its proper place. The key won't close back in and is out of shape.
You've already said the key cant be bent by reasonable force, so home come it is?
And if enough excessive force has been applied to the key to bend it, then obviously the plastic casing is going to crack.
Its been done whilst in your sons possession - either by him or something has happened it whereby it has taken a significant impact that hes not aware of. As an ex motor trader i've had hundreds of sets of keys through my hands and not one has one ever bent or the case cracked without good reason.0 -

Debit card then attempt a chargeback
Credit card S75 for defective goods IF what you have told us is correct.
Goods damaged by the owner or whilst in the owners possession are not defective goods.0 -

He took it back to Vauxhall to get it looked at. They sent it away and tested it. Their report says that he has used it to lever open something like a tin of paint or it had been dropped.
So the dealership even had the key examined and tested by a third party and they said its was due to excessive force or was dropped?
You've admitted yourself the key cant be bent with reasonable force?
So is the conclusion here not that it HAS been subject to excessive force at some point as opposed to this particular key has defied all the laws of physics and mysteriously bent and cracked for no reason?0 -
So how come the original key didnt bend?
All the keys I had bent. In all five keys and two ignitions, then a plonker drove into it and wrote it off. Apart from the first replacement all others were supplied by a vauxhall main dealer for £0, the ignition replacement also cost me £0.0 -

I was referring to the O/Ps situation - if it was an ignition barrel fault, how come their original key didnt bend, just the new one?0 -
