Litter tray liners.

After thirty years of being a having various cats it has suddenly struck me that maybe I'm missing a trick here! I have never used liners in the cats trays but yesterday I was vaguely aware of a bit of a lingering cat smell despite there being no obvious soiled lite. Wood pellets by the way. So I scrubbed the tray with warm water and disinfectant. I do give it a good rinse every now and then anyway but maybe that's not enough. I fear I have gone " nose blind" as they say and that my house actually stinks!
Are tray liners any good? Does it take one per day? I have a massive tray because my cat is elderly and a large breed.
Is like to hear of your experiences with them.

Wood pellets are meant to be used with sieve trays, so its bound to smell very quickly using a standard tray. If you're using a normal tray with pellets you will need a full change everyday, so that would be one liner per day if you end up using them.

I've never even seen a sieve tray! I have a small shovel and I scoop, out any poos and as much of the wet fluffy litter as I can.
My boy prefers the wood pellet litter, I've tried others in the past but the smell was bad. So maybe it's me that prefers the pellets...Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
I've never seen a sieve tray either. I use wood pellet litter as well and find it very good as you don't need a large amount and it absorbs well. Don't use liners but have a kidded tray which keeps down smells and messLost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

They're very good, a quick shake and every last bit of wet litter is removed, so you don't have to clean the tray and do a litter change after each wee.
We use oko, as long as wee or poo doesn't touch the tray you never have to actually do a full change, I haven't in about six months. It does smell a bit when you put fresh in, a bit like hay.0 -

We use Catsan Smart Pack which is litter in a liner so when it needs changing you just lift the whole thing up and replace it. It is expensive but never smells and is super easy to use and the tray itself never needs cleaning. I wouldn't switch back as I used to hate emptying the litter tray and now it takes seconds.0
