Why? Do you want them to go bankrupt leaving the IPC as the only ATA in business?
With every respect TDA, we all understand this.
Currently this industry is in turmoil and needs a shock to restore the balance.
If the BPA were to bite the dust, the only access to the DVLA would be via the IPC
The IPC being incestuous are not in the interests of the motorist, it would then raise severe questions as to the credibility of the government allowing them to continue as an ATA.
This then opens the door to a proper independent service like the Traffic Tribunal Service.
It is only a matter of time that London Councils will start demanding the monies owed especially as the claim "tax payers money" is being voiced. A dispute cannot go on forever.
The BPA did not forsee that so many people would use an appeals service and the cost involved. The internet and various forums have contributed to this, and rightfully so.
Losing members to the IPC must be down to bad management and it's bad management that bankrupts companies.
The bubble has burst for the BPA and the ISPA
The Government needs to understand that the motorist is probably the most valuable voter they will ever get.
The lifespan of the IPC is very limited and if PPC's don't see the writing on the wall, they will lose all access to the DVLA
Why the government assume that the IPC are anywhere near being credible
is beyond belief0 -
BM , when London cousils bailed out and the ombudsman service took over the BPA craftily re write the terms
previously if a popla code was issued and a customer used it , there was a bill of £27 , win or loose , now under the ombudsman service the fee is only payable IF the operator submits his rebuttal .
if smart or A.N.other PPC see a popla claim they won,t win , they simply bow out with no costsSave a Rachael

That is not the logical way to go about this and certainly if the 'BPA were to bite the dust' then more turmoil would ensue not less.0 -
not to worry , the BPA will be getting a new member soon
anyone care to guess who it will be?
"As a result both of the professionalism of the majority, and the conduct of the minority, Private Parking Appeals has therefore decided to apply for membership of the BPA. This will provide us with further respect within the industry, and essentially a louder voice – think of it as joining a union. To coin a phrase, it is better to be inside the tent…"

So true, and this has got to be joke of the year:

What about respect from the victims?0
