M&S Car insurance "Discount"

I have just had a letter from M&S Car Insurance who are the current insurer for one of my cars (policy expires end of the month).

The letter stated that as I was an M&S cardholder (Current Account) at the time of the policy they should have given me up to 20% off my policy. They did not do this so they have refunded me 20% back onto the card that I paid it on.

It seems that my policy coming up for renewal has triggered them spotting this. My first initial has also been mistyped so the letter must have been created manually by someone. Has anyone else received this as well?.

The policy was the cheapest at the time anyway and this has made it considerably cheaper than other insurers.
Which is strange because the renewal price is 50% higher than the cheapest this year!.
It's even 40% more expensive than going direct with the company that underwrites the policy.

Also check if they had their usual offer on for card holders at the time of purchase (assuming you paid with your card, then they often pay extra bonus points for taking out their insurance)
